On October 22, 2009, The W Hotel along with Destino Spa is hosting a martini mixer to raise awareness for breast cancer. The evening will feature complimentary martinis by PAMA, mini massages, hand treatments, and waxing by Destino Spa, and an informative session by HERS Breast Cancer Foundation. Destino Spa will provide the signature relaxation massages that have helped propel its reign as "Best Spa of Silicon Valley," as chosen by the Citysearch.com audience in 2007. Joining Destino Spa at the Pooch Hotel grand opening will be La Fondue, Jen's Cakes, Poor House Bistro, Ito En Teas, Society Dog and Hobee's Restaurant. In addition, psychic Dani Brown will contribute psychic readings for pets, while Pinkies Nail Salon will pamper party-goers with their award-winning manicures and "paw"-dicures. Pooch Hotel has more surprises in store for their human guests. Delectus Winery, Gordon Biersch, and 5 Paw Bakery are among the sponsors secured for the event. Also, Jeanine Brown has been commissioned to paint the non-human guests of honor.
The highlight of the evening is a silent auction benefiting the Humane Society Silicon Valley and Pets Unlimited SF. The auction will feature Dinah's Garden Hotel, Courtyard Marriott, Joanie's Cafe, Pinkies Nail Salons, La Fondue, Legar Salon, Tracey Cutler Dog Walking, Society Dog, Galleria Hotel, Beach Blanket Babylon, Vive and Palo Alto Sol, Delectus Winery, Pooch Hotel and Destino Spa are just a few of the generous sponsors who have donated auction items for this event.
